Jerry H. Gelbart, MD is a psychiatrist with over 30 years’ experience practicing and teaching psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. He earned his B.S. in psychology at University of Michigan, Medical Degree at Ohio State University, and completed psychiatry residency at UCLA. He taught Dialectical Behavior Therapy at Stanford University, and currently supervises family practice residents at John Muir. His approach is biopsychosociospiritual, integrating biological treatments with mindfulness-based psychotherapy, relationships, and spirituality. He has extensive experience working with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, trauma, and bipolar disorders.
